Easy and Delicious Buttercream Frosting

This frosting is creamy, fluffy, and melts in your mouth — perfect for cakes, cupcakes, or even cookies. It’s so easy to whip up, you’ll never go back to store-bought frosting again.
🍶 Ingredients
1 cup (230 g) unsalted butter, softened
3–4 cups (360–480 g) powdered sugar, sifted
2 teaspoons vanilla extract (or your favorite flavoring)
2–3 tablespoons heavy cream or milk
A pinch of salt
🍴 Instructions
Beat the butter — In a large bowl, use a hand or stand mixer to beat softened butter for about 3 minutes until smooth and creamy.
Add sugar gradually — Add powdered sugar, one cup at a time, beating well after each addition.
Add flavor and cream — Pour in vanilla extract, a pinch of salt, and 2 tablespoons of milk or cream. Beat on medium-high until light and fluffy (about 3 minutes).
Adjust consistency — Add more milk (a teaspoon at a time) if you want a lighter texture, or more sugar for a thicker one.
Use or store — Spread immediately on cooled cakes or cupcakes, or refrigerate in an airtight container for up to a week. Re-whip before using.
