This golden and moist apple cake is a comforting homemade dessert that fills your kitchen with a sweet, warm aroma. Soft on the inside and slightly crisp on top, it’s packed with tender apple chunks that melt in your mouth. Perfect with a cup of tea or coffee, this easy cake is ideal for any occasion — simple yet irresistible.

 

Ingredients:

 

3 large apples (peeled and diced)

3 large eggs

1 cup sugar

1 cup plain yogurt or sour cream

1/2 cup vegetable oil

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 ½ tsp baking powder

1 tsp vanilla extract

A pinch of salt

Optional: cinnamon or powdered sugar for topping

Instructions:

 

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a rectangular baking dish.

Prepare the batter: In a large bowl, whisk together eggs and sugar until creamy and light. Add the yogurt, oil, and vanilla extract, mixing well.

Combine dry ingredients: In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually fold this into the wet mixture until smooth.

Add apples: Gently fold in the diced apples until evenly distributed.

Bake: Pour the batter into the greased dish and smooth the top. Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Cool and serve: Let the cake cool before slicing. Optionally, dust with powdered sugar or cinnamon.
