Cheesy Potato Patties

Ingredients (10–12 patties)

 

4 large potatoes, boiled & mashed

1 cup mozzarella or melting cheese, sliced or shredded

2 tbsp cornstarch (or flour)

1 egg

2 tbsp chopped parsley

2 cloves garlic, minced

½ tsp black pepper

½ tsp paprika

Salt to taste

Oil or butter for frying

Prepare Potato Dough

Mix mashed potatoes, egg, cornstarch, garlic, salt, pepper, paprika, and parsley.

Mix until soft but workable.

Stuff with Cheese

Take a spoon of potato mixture.

Place cheese in the center.

Cover with another spoon and shape into a patty.

Fry Until Golden

Heat oil or butter in a pan over medium heat.

Fry patties 3–4 minutes per side until crispy and golden.

Serve Hot

Garnish with parsley.

Serve with garlic sauce, yogurt dip, or ketchup.

Use low-moisture mozzarella for the best cheese stretch

Chill patties 15 minutes before frying to prevent breaking

You can also bake at 200°C for 20 minutes, flipping halfway
