Orange Pork Ribs recipe

Ingredients:

2 lbs pork ribs, cut into bite-sized pieces

1 tablespoon cooking oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 thumb-sized ginger, minced

1/2 cup orange juice

1/4 cup soy sauce

1/4 cup brown sugar

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 teaspoon cornstarch

Salt and pepper to taste

Orange slices for garnish (optional)

PREPARATION:

1. Blanch the Ribs:

In a large pot, cover the ribs with water and bring to a boil. Simmer for 3 minutes, then drain the ribs and rinse them under cold water.

2. Brown the Ribs:

Heat the cooking oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the ribs and cook until browned on all sides.

3. Add Aromatics:

Add the garlic and ginger to the skillet and cook for 1 minute, or until fragrant.

4. Make the Sauce:

In a small bowl, whisk together the orange juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, and cornstarch. Pour the sauce over the ribs in the skillet and stir to coat.

5. Simmer:

Bring the sauce to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 30-40 minutes, or until the ribs are tender and the sauce has thickened.

6. Season and Serve:

Season the ribs with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with orange slices if desired. Serve with rice or noodles.
