Bacon-Wrapped Cheese Sticks

Ingredients:

 

12 mozzarella sticks

12 slices of bacon

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1 large egg, beaten

1 cup breadcrumbs

1 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp black pepper

1/2 tsp paprika

Cooking oil (for frying)

Instructions:

 

Prep the Cheese Sticks: Wrap each mozzarella stick tightly with a slice of bacon, securing the ends with toothpicks.

Coating: In a shallow bowl, mix the flour, garlic powder, black pepper, and paprika. Dip each bacon-wrapped cheese stick into the flour mixture, then into the beaten egg, and coat with breadcrumbs.

Chill: Place the coated cheese sticks on a baking sheet and chill them in the freezer for at least 30 minutes to firm up.

Fry: Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pan to 350°F (175°C). Carefully fry the cheese sticks in batches for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

Serve: Remove the toothpicks and serve with your favorite dipping sauce, such as marinara or ranch. Enjoy!
