Ingredients
• 1lb (450 g) pork cubes or a pork-veal mix
Salt and pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp paprika
1 cup breadcrumbs
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup flour
Wooden skewers (4-6
inches long)
Oil for frying
Optional: chicken broth for baking step
Instructions
1. Prepare the Skewers
Season meat cubes with
salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
Thread 3-4 pieces of meat onto each wooden skewer to make “mock drumsticks.”
2. Bread the Skewers
Place flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and breadcrumbs in a third.
Coat each skewer in flour.
Dip into beaten eggs.
Roll in breadcrumbs until fully coated.
3. Fry Until Golden
Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Fry each skewer until golden brown on all sides (about 3-4 minutes per side).
Place on a wire rack to drain excess oil.
4. Optional Baking Step (Traditional Method)
To make them extra tender:
Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F).
Place browned skewers in a baking dish.
Add 1/2 cup chicken broth to the bottom of the dish (not over the skewers).
Cover with foil and bake for
30-40 minutes.
5. Serve
Serve warm with:

Gravy
Green beans
