Ooey Gooey Bars Recipe

Ingredients:

1 box yellow cake mix (dry, not prepared)

8 tablespoons (1 stick) butter, melted

1 egg

Instructions:

 

Preheat Oven & Prepare Pan:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Lightly grease an 8×8-inch or 9×9-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

Make the Crust:

 

In a mixing bowl, combine the dry cake mix, melted butter, and egg.

Stir until a thick, sticky dough forms.

Press into Pan:

Transfer the dough to the prepared baking dish and press it evenly into the bottom using your hands or a spatula.

Bake:

Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set but still slightly soft.

Cool & Slice:

Let the bars cool in the pan for at least 10–15 minutes before slicing into squares.

Serve & Enjoy!

These bars are delicious warm or at room temperature. Serve as-is or with a scoop of ice cream for extra indulgence!

Optional Add-Ins:

Sprinkle chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, or nuts on top before baking.

Drizzle with caramel or chocolate sauce after baking.
